Sovereignty

This is what I’ve been thinking of as  the year begins to wind down.

In numerology, the year 2026 reduces to a “1” year, This is often described as a year of beginnings and leadership. Those concepts can sound energizing or exhausting, depending on what you’ve lived through.

But the kind of beginning I’m thinking about for the coming year is one that supports my sovereignty, my earned inner authority. And the kind of leadership I care about isn’t loud or forceful. It’s also internal and in many ways much more powerful..

It’s the ability to notice your thoughts without being overtaken by them.
To recognize and accept your emotional signals without self-judgement.
To respond instead of brace.

For many people,  especially those who’ve lived through trauma, anxiety, or chronic stress, sovereignty was stolen or interrupted early on. Decisions were made for you. Your inner signals weren’t honored and then were not trusted. Adaptation became necessary.

Reclaiming sovereignty isn’t dramatic.

It’s subtle.

It looks like:
• listening to your thoughts without being swept into the emotion they carry
• choosing the things that bring you joy
• letting yourself need and accept support without giving your power away
• trusting your own timing

As the new year approaches, I’m not interested in trying to become someone new. I’m not interested in asking people to do that either,

I’m interested in helping people come back to themselves.

If this idea feels like the truth, you don’t have to explore it alone.
And you don’t have to rush it either.

If you’d like to talk about what support could look like for you in the coming year, you can schedule a call here

You get to own being the leader of your inner life. That’s a new beginning that doesn’t require a new you.

All my best in the New Year,
Sally
